Hi, I'm Grant, founder of Budjinga (Pty) Ltd.
Budjinga was not created because I wanted to start a software company. It was created because I wanted a better way to manage my own finances.
Since 2015, I have budgeted in Microsoft Excel. Over the years those spreadsheets grew into a detailed system - income, expenses, savings goals, and account balances carefully tracked and reconciled. That discipline gave me confidence that every rand was accounted for, and it helped me make clearer financial decisions.
As the spreadsheets became larger and harder to maintain, I looked for an application that could replace them. Many budgeting apps exist; none matched the way I wanted to work - simple, organised, reliable, and steadily improving.
So I built it.
Budjinga brings the flexibility and discipline of spreadsheet budgeting into a modern web app. The goal is straightforward: help people understand their money, build healthier habits, and budget with confidence.
